Trekking Ambangan

This trekking starts in Taman Rekreasi Alas Tying Tali in the village of Kedu. The main purpose of this trekking is to visit 3 waterfalls, namely Canging, Dedari and Cemara, the last 2 are located higher than the Canging waterfall and need some climbing, to do the walk you need to be in good condition and will take about 4 hours.

Taman Rekreasi Alas Tying Tali is already quite high and gives a beautiful view over the valley. It is sloping and via a long path you walk through the forest and you see wild pineapple or bamboo.

After a while you leave the forest and suddenly you are surrounded by rice fields and you walk in a area with a beautiful nature.

Along the way you see beautiful flowers and it is so quiet, a few times a scooter passes by and very occasionally you hear a waterfall or walk past a house where the locals greet you friendly. The road is good, sometimes pretty steep but good to do.

After about 1.5 hours of walking you are almost at the first waterfall, but before you are there you have to climb and clamber, sometimes there are stairs but often it is not more than a few bamboo poles that act as a bridge. Canging waterfall, a relatively small waterfall with a small lake in front of it, it is also an area where you can camp.

As said Canging waterfall is a small waterfall, to get to the Dedari and Cemara waterfall you must climb up and walk for another 10-20 minutes.

After visiting the two waterfalls which are higher located then the Canging waterfall you will have some lunch. On the way back, via a different route, there is a lot of clambering and walking over small bridges of 4 bamboo poles, up to a path of a stone wall along a stream of fast flowing water, while walking back you will encounter all kinds of things.

Eventually you come back to the forest and you actually only walk downwards back to the parkinglot.
